Cars & Coffee… The Next Generation

8/14/15

The Orange County Saturday morning car scene changed last December for many of us. After 8 years at the Irvine location, Cars & Coffee again lost it’s meeting location at the Ford/Mazda Campus due to over crowding and public safety concerns. A few new locations sprouted up in it’s absence but it just hasn’t been the same since.

Thankfully, a few devoted car enthusiast with the names and know how, were able to make a deal with the State of California to bring CNC to the Orange County Fairgrounds, Names like Barry Maguiar (of Maguir’s car products), Doug Cavanaugh (founder of Ruby’s Diner), J.C. Agajanian and the Petersen Automotive Museum to name a few. Ruby’s diner will be providing the coffee and donuts for the events which are scheduled to run every Saturday Morning with the exception of special events, such as: The Annual Orange County Fair, The Labor Day Cruise, Cruisin’ with a Cure, etc.

About 12 DKP members met at 0’dark thirty to caravan from the Tustin CNC location to the Fairgrounds. Since VW’s made up only a small percentage of the estimated 700 attendees, I took a lot of random shots of mostly older vehicles of interest, leaving the late model exotics for other websites to cover. They will be spread out over several days, so check back often.
